Our Process

Quality + Verification Through Every Step

Successful fabrication projects rely on careful planning, qualified procedures, and rigorous quality controls. From RFQ through final delivery our process is designed to ensure consistency, traceability, and confidence throughout production.

01

Evaluate the Requirements

During the RFQ stage, we review welding specifications, fabrication complexity, quality requirements,  and potential challenges to identify the best path forward.

02

Develop the Plan

Fabrication strategies, welding procedures, certifications, and production requirements are established. For complex projects, cross-functional pre-job briefings align teams before production begins.

03

Execute with Control

Routers guide every step of production—from material prep and fit-up to welding, cleaning, machining, testing, and finishing—ensuring consistency and traceability throughout fabrication.

04

Inspect and deliver

Testing, inspections, documentation, packaging, and final verification are completed before shipment to ensure quality, compliance, and customer confidence.

Fabricated. Qualified. Delivered.

PROJECT SHOWCASE

Turbine Deck Modifications

The Problem

During a plant modification project, a nuclear utility required modifications to the turbine deck manway, platform, and stairs. The replacement components needed to be fabricated in support of a compressed outage schedule.

The Part

Replacement turbine deck components fabricated from carbon structural steel, including the manway, platform, and stairs, manufactured to support the plant modification.

The Solution

Master Machine completed the carbon structural steel fabrication of the replacement turbine deck manway, platform, and stairs in support of the customer's plant modification. The project was successfully completed to meet the demands of the compressed outage schedule.

Gen III+ Advanced Reactor

The Problem

As part of an advanced reactor new plant construction project, a customer required the design and fabrication of multistage stainless steel steam orifice assemblies. The assemblies demanded high-precision manufacturing to support the requirements of new plant construction.

The Part

High-tolerance machined and fabricated multistage stainless steel steam orifice assemblies requiring controlled welding and non-destructive examination.

The Solution

Master Machine completed the design and fabrication of the multistage stainless steel steam orifice assemblies, including the high-tolerance machining, controlled welding, and non-destructive examination required to meet the project's specifications in support of advanced reactor new plant construction.

Safety-related plant BWR modification project

The Problem

Following design changes resulting from the Fukushima accident, a nuclear utility required a plant modification to implement the necessary upgrades. The work needed to support outage requirements while meeting the rigorous standards for nuclear safety-related components.

The Part

Nuclear safety-related fabrication of a nuclear check valve assembly and 109 associated pipe weldments, requiring controlled welding and non-destructive examination (NDE).

The Solution

Master Machine completed the nuclear safety-related fabrication of the nuclear check valve assembly and 109 associated pipe weldments, including the controlled welding and non-destructive examination (NDE) required to support the outage requirements associated with the Fukushima modification project.
